As you may know, there are a lot different type of lawyers. On this site, I try to cover just a few types of lawyers (the most important types).
Types of lawyers:
- Corporate lawyers – A corporate lawyer is a lawyer who specializes in corporations law.
- Divorce lawyers – A divorce lawyer is a lawyer specializing family litigation before civil, juvenile or probate courts.
- Criminal defense lawyers – A criminal defense lawyer is a lawyer specializing in the defense of individuals and companies charged with criminal conduct.
- Administrative lawyers - They deal with relationship between the government and individuals.
- Environmental lawyers - Their goal is to protect the environment, dealing with problems such as air pollution or waste disposal.
- Family lawyers – They deal with problems that appear between family members, such as marriage contracts, adoptions or child custody.
- Immigration lawyers - They help the people that want to become citizens of another country or entry another country.
- International lawyers – They deal with problems between nations and are usually hired by national governments or international organizations.
- Real estate lawyers – A real estate lawyer takes care of matters like buying and selling buildings or land and they may be hired by developers, investors, banks or even corporations.
